The leaflets are also available in the entrance hall. Please spread the word that this group is for all families in Selston (you do not have to have children attending our school) and everyone will receive a warm welcome. We look forward to seeing you and your little ones.

  • Meet the governors evening

    Wed 01 Oct 2014

At a meeting of the Governing Body last night, 30/9/14, it was decided to postpone the meet the governor session which had been scheduled for 16th October.

The school is expecting a visit from Ofsted in the near future, so it was felt that it would be better to wait until this has taken place so we can feed back their findings.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

  • Good Luck Sarah!

    Fri 26 Sep 2014

I'm sure lots of you have seen Sarah Brand, our chair of governors, running around the lanes and footpaths of Selston as she has trained for the fothcoming Robin Hood Marathon which takes place on Sunday 28th September. As well as it fullfilling a personal ambition, she has used it as a chance to raise funds for the school, so if you want to sponsor her, please call in at the office - and I hope that you will join the school in wishing her the best of luck for her run!

  • Free online books!

Tue 01 Jul 2014 Mrs. Steed

I discovered this website today and it looks fab! We Give Books is a free online library of children’s books that enables your kids to help other children around the world while they’re reading.

    http://www.wegivebooks.org/

When you go to www.wegivebooks.org, you’ll be able to read a special selection of books without a We Give Books account, but you have to sign up to access their full library. It’s definitely worth it, though. It’s just a quick form, and once you’re signed up, you’ll have access to over 150 quality children’s books! There are a lot of familiar classic titles, and even more new ones for us to discover. You can sort the books by age level, genre, author, and seasonal selections in the “Featured” section, so everyone can find something they like.

Hope you find this enjoyable - my little boy has been forced to enjoy it already! x
