Friday 14th July - In Science the children have been investigating which material is best to make an umbrella. They leaned about what a fair test is, tested each material in the same way and recorded their findings on a table

Wednesday 12th July 2023 - The children were so excited to meet the chicks which have just hatched in Nursery.
Monday 10th July - A massive well done to this young lady on dancing on stage at The Nottingham Playhouse, what an amazing achievement. All your class were so proud of you
In English this week the children are going to design and write their own Naughty Bus story. Today they planned and created the scenes and used IPads to take photos to make their own books.
Friday 7th July - This term the children have been learning about Queen Elizabeth II in History. Todays lesson was finding out about her Coronation. The children were given the task of drawing a portrait of her at her Coronation.
Monday 3rd July - Well done to todays Star Writers who worked hard to add suffixes to words and then write sentences using the words.

OUR CLASS NOVEL - The children are enjoying reading our new chapter books about Bear and Rabbit.
SPORTS DAY 2023
Wk beg 19th June - This week the children have been learning to tell the time to the hour and half hour.
A massive well done to all the children in Year 1 on the hard work they have all put into phonics this year so far. Phonics Screening is now complete and every children has worked their socks off and I am so proud of everyone of my Perfect Puffins.
Friday 16th June - Today the children wrote their alternative version of The Queen’s Hat story, our version was The Queen’s Corgi
Thursday 15th June - In English the children planned a new version of The Queen’s Hat story.
Tuesday 13th June - Practicing for Sports Day
Thursday 8th June - Writing words with split vowel digraphs
Wednesday 7th June - Reading and spotting split vowel digraphs in unknown text and highlighting the words with the split vowel digraph I-e.
Monday 5th June 2023 - The children came back really sensibly today especially considering we have had to move into the hall whilst our classroom is being renovated. The children soon got down to work writing about their holidays. WELL DONE you are all PERFECT PUFFINS!
