Hello and welcome to Swallows class page! 

I am Miss Ward, Swallow class teacher. 

Above you will see different tabs for each half term, throughout the year they will be updated weekly to give you an insight into some of the fabulous work and activities that we get up to in class. 

Important Information

Reading: This is super important both in school and at home. We encourage our children need to be reading as much as they can by providing lots of opportunities to read in class - quiet reading of a book of their choice, whole class reading, a shared class novel and trips to the library. To support this it would be amazing to encourage reading at home, this can be just for 5 minutes a day. 

P.E: This will be on a Monday afternoon. The children will be learning a variety of skills, so it is important they have their P.E kit to be able to join in. Going into the colder months please remember extra layers/warmer P.E kit as we often will be outside!

Earrings must be removed, either in school (if they can do it themselves) or before they come to school.

Spellings: These will be given to your child weekly to practise at home, and can be found in their reading diaries for each half term. We will also practise these words within handwriting and our topic work. The spelling words consist of statutory words for Years 3 and 4, plus key words that we will be using in our topic work.
