What a Performance! Spring 2 Knowledge Organiser

SPRING 2 SPELLINGS

This half term our topic is ‘What a Performance!’ 

We are so excited to have Paul Cookson joining us and starting off our topic with some amazing performance poetry. 

20.3.24 We are so proud of our finished puppets.

15.3.24 We have enjoyed sewing and decorating our hand puppets.

13.3.24 We had an a great time developing our sewing skills.

12.3.24 Tuesday is our library visit day 📘📙😍

12.3.24 Woodpeckers are immersed in the text, using our class story map, involved in lots of oracy work and writing their story beginnings. Wow, wow, wow!

26.2.24 For the hook of our English unit, we explored circuses and created thought showers with our talk partners. This is in preparation for our Leon and the Place Between book.

20.2.24 We had a fabulous library visit today. We loved choosing books to read and some children read to each other.

Yesterday we created our own performance poem as a class with a little help from Paul Cookson. Today we rehearsed it and performed it. I am one super proud teacher!! A huge well done Woodies 😊

19.2.24 Our fabulous topic started with a super Paul Cookson assembly for KS1. We are so lucky to have such a WOW start to our half term.
