This half term we are learning about...

Our text this half term is the Iron Man by Ted Hughes. We're going to be using this text to write from a character point of view, and persuading our readers with viewpoints based on evidence from the story. 🤖

🎶 Sew, a needle 🪡 pulling thread...

Geography Walk around Selston 🗺📍 We followed our OS map and marked the different features we found: footpaths, bridleway, church, memorial, cafe, park, post office, public house and schools. We became really good at marking the different places on the map.

Map work - we continued our geography work back at school by marking our route on the OS map and writing the road names of where we had spotted different features.

Week Beginning - Monday 13th May 2024

R.E - We have been learning about pilgrimages of different faiths. This week we have looked into the Hindu Pilgrimage to Varanasi. 💧 🌞

Week Beginning: Monday 15th April 2024

The Iron Man - Kingfisher have written from the perspective of the seagull who witnessed the Iron Man on the beach. They did a great job using descriptive language for the Iron Man's body parts. 🤖
