Who lives in a place like this?

This half term we will be doing PE on a Monday morning and a Monday afternoon - please make sure all belongings are labelled with your child's name (school polos, cardigans, jumpers etc.)

Spelling tests will be on a Friday afternoon.

Reading groups will be Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday (we will collect books in on a Friday)

Week Two 2️⃣

The story of Jonah and the Big Fish - we sequenced the story together as a class and then did sequenced the stories independently! Well done Wrens 🤩

We have been highlighting the parts of the model text that we like and that we want to use in our writing on Friday!

PE - we have been practising our tennis racket skills this morning!

We had a go at acting out the bible story ‘Jonah and the big fish’. Absolute superstar Wrens doing some fabulous acting 🤩.

Week Four 4️⃣

We have been learning about different animal habitats! The children sorted the animals onto the correct habitat and then we looked more closely at a range of other habitats.

Week Five 5️⃣

Completing our storyboards for our new text... Dear Greenpeace 🐳

Composing our own music this week! We marked when our instrument needed to play and when we needed to rest. Well done Wrens, super teamwork!

We have been creating speech between Emily and Arthur the whale 🐳🐳

Our (very wet) whispers microhabitat hunt! We searched under rocks and under logs to see which minibeasts were living in that habitat. Although it was rainy we still managed to find lots of minibeasts 🐌🪲

Yorkshire Wildlife Park 🐅🐾🐒🦓

We have had a lovely time at Yorkshire wildlife park today! We have seen animals from the Amazon, Giraffes, Zebras, Meerkats and so many more! The children were amazing 🤩

We have finished our Henri Rousseau collages! We collaborated to create a group piece of art work. Don’t they look amazing?

Computing in music... we have created our own digital music on Google Chrome Music Lab. We all had an animal and then created our own music for that animal.
