20.12.23 Falcon class had a great time at the Disco today. 💃 🕺

18.12.23 Falcon’s had a lovely time meeting Santa today. He even gave them some goodies to go home with. 🍫

18.12.23 Our last shadow investigation today - how does the distance from the light source affect the shadow size? 🔦

14.12.23 We were thrilled with how creating procedures in FMSLogo makes creating shapes so much easier!

13.12.23 - Today we turned our rough play scripts into draft form. We worked as groups to complete our scene. 🎭

12.12.23 - this week we are looking at play scripts. Today we started to draft out a play script for a scene from Rama and Sita.

11.12.23 - this week we have started Area in maths. We starting by putting counters onto the shapes to find out how many we could fit in.

07.12.23 In English we used a story map technique to help us remember the story of Rama and Sita. We then added actions when retelling it.

06.12.23 - a fantastic RE experience day today. We learnt everything we need to know about the Hindu faith!

27.11.23 Unfortunately it was raining this morning, but it didn’t stop Falcon enjoying their PE today - frisbee with quoits!

24.11.23 It’s been so special to see the enthusiasm and interest the Falcons had when researching Albert Einstein. The biographies we started writing today were amazing!!

24.11.23 Mr Close brought in one of his FABULOUS Lego creations to enhance our music learning. We loved seeing inside the inner workings of the piano and were very impressed with how it worked

23.11.23 In Maths, we worked in pairs to place a number in each section of the Venn diagram. You could ask us why there are no numbers in the ‘multiples of 6’ section!

23.11.23 Thursday French Day! 🇫🇷

22.11.23 Investigating reflection with torches and mirrors. 🔦

21.11.23 In Music, we listened to Yesterday by The Beatles and Power in Me. We thought about how the songs were performed with different expression and then had a go at singing Power in Me with a joyful and powerful feeling.

20.11.23 our Frisbee lesson was fantastic today! We played games with a focus on self-refereeing.

17.11.23 Falcon have blown my socks off today with their writing about Albert Einstein’s favourite things. We were inspired by some of the illustrations from our class text and the writing they produced was wonderful, including some tricky clauses!

16.11.23 In R.E. today, we looked at how Hindus celebrate Diwali and were inspired to create our own mendhi designs.

16.11.23 It was so amazing to see a piece of artwork that Cory did at home inspired by our class text last half term! He clearly spent a lot of time on it and we were all very impressed with his drawing 🤗

10.11.23 For our first Music lesson in this unit, we began by singing a scale and using hand signals to signify the changing notes. 🎶

10.11.23 In Maths, some Falcons disagreed over an answer and had a respectful debate, proving their ideas with mathematical reasoning until everyone agreed!

09.11.23 Today we had an assembly with Allie from Dog’s trust followed by a workshop in our class. Falcon class were paw-fectly behaved!

As part of the workshop, we learnt how to react if an off-lead dog ran towards us. You can see us practising here!
