Just a quick goodbye from me.
It has been a pleasure teaching Wren class this year. I couldn’t have asked for a class more full of personality and character, I know they will all do amazing as the year progresses and wish them all the best in the future!
Mr Homer
What a fabulous show the children out on! We are all so proud of each and every one of them. Well done KS1 and especially well done Wren!
This morning, the children took part in the last of their online safety assemblies by Google and the Be Internet Legends team. The children were fantastic and had a quick look at INTERLAND the online game linked to the assemblies to reinforce to the children safe internet practices.
Please take a look and have a go at home with the link below!
Today the Year 2 children went on their trip to the University of Nottingham. We had a fantastic day working with some students and being given a tour around the campus. Lots of the children were talking about how much they enjoyed the day and how they want to go to university now when they’re old enough!
Wren have been working hard this morning to do some independent writing. We were having a go at writing a post card from the perspective of Traction Man. The children gave it a really good try and I was really impressed with how well they all did.
All of Wren worked so hard this morning on their English! The year 2's were learning to use commas in a list while the Year 1's practised writing descriptive sentences all about our current text Traction Man. The children have been loving the new story and that can be seen in how focused they all were!
The Year 2's were visited today by the University of Nottingham in preparation for their trip next week! They were all really interested in what university was all about and why people go there and are definitely now looking forward to their visit.
Year 1 have jumped straight back into their maths this half term. Today they were using counters to find their number bonds to 10 as well as add within 10. The children worked so hard and really did well with this lesson.
