Welcome to Autumn 2 Wonderful Woodies
This term, our topic is Toy Story. We will be learning about toys from the past in History and our books will be toy themed. In Science we will learn about classifying animals and we will focus on algorithms in Computing. This is going to be a very exciting and busy half term.

21.12.23 We had a great time at the pantomime. Oh no we didn't!!!!! Oh yes we did!!!!!!
KS1 Party Day
18.12.23 Woodpeckers had a special visit from Santa 🎅 We are so grateful to FOHH for allowing this to happen 🎄
We loved performing our Christmas play and loved wearing our costumes.
On Tuesday 12th December Key Stage 1 went to Millington Springs Care Home to sing our Christmas songs to the residents and staff.
12.12.23 We are so proud of our two Tae Kwan-Do experts. Super achievements outside of school.
29.11.23. NO PENS WEDNESDAY - today we created Biscuit Bear puppets and, in groups, rehearsed and performed the story. We had so much fun!
29.11.23 NO PENS DAY 2023 - Woodpecker Phonics group have been learning the spelling rules for plurals (adding s and es). They used their magic fingers to write on their friends backs instead of using pens.
15.11.23 What an incredible day for our year 2's. An opportunity to visit Nottingham University, meet some of the student ambassadors and a tour of the campus. We all feel so inspired and lots of little Woodpeckers said it was the best day ever!
13.11.23 In Jigsaw, we have been sharing our differences and it has been so interesting to find out what makes everyone special.

9.11.23 What an amazing day we've had. An assembly by dogs Trust, a visit from Nottingham University and a toy day to start our history topic.
8.11.23 In science, we sorted and classified animals into fish, mammals, amphibians, reptiles and birds.
