Experiences

Y5 and 6 Looked at examples of Islamic art to inspire their art work

Y5 and 6 have explored history through art and created Anglo Saxon art.

Year 1 and 2 had a visit from a local artist, Clare Taylor from Bus and Bird Art. She helped us create sculptures using natural materials. They had a fantastic, creative day.

Year 4 children in Kingfisher Class took part in an experience day that included a virtual visit to D.H. Lawrence Museum and as part of their Arts Award.

Year 5 and 6 had a fantastic day in Nottingham looking at the architecture of Watson Fothergill. They experienced his work first hand and created sketches of the features they saw.

Woodpecker Class were lucky to have a visit from Nicola from The Creation Station. they got very creative and made monsters and models using different materials. They had a fantastic time.

As part of the Jubilee Celebrations all the children created art work which was then used to produce a whole school art display. Parents were invited to come and celebrate with us and look at the work we had created.
