25.01.24 To celebrate some of Swan’s successes last week, today we had snack club! Biscuits, sweets and Newsround! We won the attendance award last week and our reading diaries were bursting with reading and spelling practise at home. Super Swans, you’re living up to your name! 🦢 🦸‍♀️ 🦸‍♂️

24.01.24 In Jigsaw, we studied Ellie Simmonds - Paralympic swimmer - and how her disability made her special. Lucas was inspired to bring his Guinness World Records book to tell us about some other inspirational people with disabilities. 💙

23.01.24 Today in English, the hot seat came out! We took on the roles of characters from our story Boy in the Tower. We turned their direct speech into reported speech, ready to write a newspaper report next week!

22.01.24 We started our trip to the National Justice Museum with some group pictures! 📸

We started the morning preparing to act out a court trial in a Victorian court. We loved this! Swans did a wonderful job acting and made me very proud!

17.01.24 Today was our introduction to the micro:bits in our computing lesson. We labelled the parts of a micro:bit and started to explore the workspace to program the device on the computers. We loved this lesson!

09.01.24 Today, we started our textiles unit in DT. We’re starting simple with a basic running stitch. We loved this lesson! 🪡🧵

08.01.24 Welcome back! We got stuck into our new topic ‘How to Save the Human Race’ today by designing an advert for ‘Day of the Triffids’. We tried to use the 4 sentence types, along with some specific adjectives. Of course, we got creative and designed some flesh-eating plants too! 🌱🪴
