28.06.24 In Art, we used moulding, slip, carving and sculpting techniques to create representations of insects 🐜🐞🕷️🦟

28.06.24 In Maths, we began learning about symmetry by seeing what symmetrical shapes we could make with a partner. We then folded different shapes, knowing that if it fits into itself with no overlapping, we had found a line of symmetry 🤓

27.06.24 ProStrike day! We raised nearly £2000 for our school and had a blast, seeing our high speed when shooting the ball! ⚽️

21.06.24 As we won the attendance prize before the holidays, today Falcon Class cashed in on their extra playtime. We went into the woods where it was cool and played hide and seek, hung out and chatted and some of us just chilled in the grass 😎

21.06.24 We continued our Art unit by exploring the maleable nature of clay and different ways of using our hands as tools. We also had a challenge to see who could make the most perfect sphere using nothing but their hands to mold.

20.06.24 This afternoon, Falcon chose which of the Ancient Greek areas of achievement they wanted to focus on and created some fabulous double-page spreads! 🥰 I especially loved seeing the way some of them independently chose to do further research using the library books.

20.06.24 In Maths, we used the peg boards to find different ways of creating irregular quadrilaterals!

18.06.24 We developed our knowledge of different Ancient Greek city states, by sorting different people according to the clues.

18.06.24 While some of our Falcon team were off at District Sports, we experimented with different techniques for achieving a black/red effect seen in Ancient Greek pottery. A favourite of ours was the wax resist method!

14.06.24 In English, the children wrote some incredibly devilish descriptions of the Minotaur

13.06.24 This weekend is Fathers’ Day, so we thought about all the men in our life that we love from our head to our tomatoes!

13.06.24 In Maths, we hunted for right angles around the room and then identified whether the angles on our table were right, acute or obtuse.

13.06.24 We started maths with some movement to show different types of angles 🤸🏽

07.06.24 We looked at geometric patterns used in Ancient Greek pottery and then designed our own amphoras. How amazing!

07.06.24 In English, we thought about powerful adjectives we could use to describe Theseus and the Minotaur, found synonyms in a thesaurus and even had time to compose some descriptive sentences! Falcon are flying this week!

06.06.24 We are loving our new active 15 game- 3 To Win. All you have to do to win is get 3 cones in your hoop!
