03.10.24 In Maths, we used blocks to investigate cube numbers by seeing whether we could make solid cubes with a specified number 🤓
01.10.24 Today was the MOST EPIC school day ever! We all took part in beatboxing and breakdancing workshops!! 🎤

30.09.24 We started our English lessons this week by exploring the ‘show not tell’ technique and matching sentences to the action they described.
26.09.24 Inspired by everything we had seen at The MAD Museum, we began with the initial sketches for our own automaton toys!

23.09.24 To prepare for writing an internal monologue, the Falcons worked in pairs to interview each other in character.
19.09.24 Falcons were super mature and independent in English, finding quotes to help them sequence the events of a flashback in our novel ‘The Invention of Hugo Cabret’.
16.09.24 In French today we continued with the days of the week. 🗣️Which is your favourite day?

13.09.24 In D.T, we looked at how cam mechanisms turn rotary motion into linear motion, then made a moving example.
12.09.24 Today we had a visit from Andrew Moffat from ‘No Outsiders’ . We read the book ‘Mixed’ and thought about how we can respectfully challenge opinions that are different from our own.
11.09.24 Our display, based on the poem ‘Come All You Little Persons’ by John Agard, is up and looking great! Parents can come and find their own little person during class drop in tomorrow!
09.09.24 In French we learned the days of the week and used the tune of Twinkle Twinkle to really get them stuck in our heads! ⭐️
06.09.24 We used place value counters to make numbers up to 1,000,000. Both Y5 and Y6 smashed this lesson! 🙌
06.09.24 The live assembly talked about diversity, which got us thinking about the different languages we speak in class. It felt really special to have different members of the class share greetings from other languages with us 🤩 🇿🇼 🇵🇱 🇮🇳 🇭🇺 🇲🇽 🇯🇵 🇬🇧
06.09.24 This morning we took part in a national Picture News live assembly!
05.09.24 ‘The Island’ has really got us thinking. We considered how many of the man’s human rights had been taken away by the islanders.
05.09.24 Mrs Cordon was super impressed with our focused group work, exploring our The Island through drama.
04.09.24 We met Mr Beckett and he taught us how to play ‘Silent Ball’.
04.09.24 The first day back and we got stuck into some English, making predictions about The Island by Armin Greder. We were surprised that the cover gave us a very different impression to the blurb!
