AUTUMN 1 SPELLINGS

18.10.24 Woodpeckers made some amazing pumpkins.

16.10.24 As part of our history topic we thought of questions to help us find out what Holly Hill School was like in the past. We then interviewed Mrs Brooks as she can here when she was young. It was really interesting. Thank you Mrs Brooks.

15.10.24 In science we worked on an investigation to discover whether or not having the biggest hands meant you have the biggest feet. We used the laptops to create results tables and block graphs.

7.10.24 As part of our hook lesson, the children researched information about cats at home and then shared findings with the group. Some Woodpeckers have cats of their own. This will be so useful when we read our next book - Six Dinner Sid.

3.10.24 Finding all possibilities in maths.

1.10.24 We had the best time during out beat boxing and break dancing workshop today.

26.9.24 Enjoying being active in P.E.

19.9.24 Today we had the most amazing day on our trip to Papplewick Pumping Station. We took a step back in time to Victorian times and it was the best day ever!!

13.9.24 Enjoying our first P.E.and French lesson.

Today we had a fabulous senses walk around our school as part of our science lesson.
