Welcome to our PUFFIN CLASS class page. 

 

This class page will be updated regularly and will show you some of the things your child is doing in school. We very much hope that you find it useful.

Friday 18th October - What fabulous pumpkins Puffins have made.

Friday 4th October 2024 - Well done to this weeks Puffin Class Heroes.

Thursday 3rd October 2024 - In History today the children compared schools now and during Victorian times.

Tuesday 1st October - Today we weee really lucky to have an Olympic breakdance and a beat boxer in school. We had so much fun.

Wk beg: 30th September 2024 : This term’s Jigsaw is Being Me in My World. Today the children played a game which they had ton,are sure everyone was included.

Wk beg 23rd September - This week the children having been using Rekenreks to make numbers to 10.

Also in Maths the children having been using the greater than, less than and equal symbols to compare numbers.

Friday 20th September 2024 - We had a fabulous day out at Papplewick Pumping Station learning about how water was cleaned to make it suitable to drink in Victorian times.

We also learned about what life was like for children who worked at the pumping station from Wilf.

Thursday 19th September - Active Time : making the most of the nice weather to play in our lovely school grounds.

Tuesday 17th September - In Science this week the children were learning about their senses so we went on a Sensory Walk.

Friday 13th September - Another busy day to end the week, in English the children worked in groups to match feelings and actions to the Colour Monsters. In Maths the children are working on numbers to 10 and have worked hard to complete the first few pages of their Power Maths books - what an amazing start to Year 1 everyone.

Well done to our first Puffin Class Heroes!

Thursday 12th September - Today we had a session called No Outsiders. This session encourage the children to think about equality and inclusion. We listened to a wonderful book called Going to the Volcano and then acted it out.

Tuesday 10th September - In our first Science lesson the children named and labeled parts of the body which included discussion about parts inside our body which we can't see.

Wk beg 9th September - Our first core text is the wonderful book The Colour Monster which explores feelings and emotions.

Friday 6th September - We have had a busy 3 days and have all settled really well into Puffin Class.

Wednesday 4th September 2024 - Welcome to our new PUFFIN CLASS 2024-25
