Fantastic Beasts

We are looking forward to a really busy and exciting half term with our Fantastic Beast topic.  This half term our English topic is focussing on non- fiction texts with us writing our own at the end. In Science our topic is Living Things. We will be learning about animal groups, their life cycles and reproduction methods. Our focus topics are Art and Music. In Art we’ll be practising mark-making using pencil, paint and pastel media in the hope that we can re-create some of the animals in our texts.  We will be really busy this half term practising for our Christmas concert and we look forward to performing this for you at the end on term.

No Pens Wednesday

Today we didn’t use any pens at all. In Maths we practised times tables, put fractions, decimals and percentages on a number line, made up money games, used counters and cubes to make squared and cubed numbers, made nets of 3D shapes and looked at symmetrical patterns. There was lots of group discussion about Maths, which was really lovely to hear.

Monday 18th November Prime numbers, squared and cubed numbers. Learning about multiples and common multiples.

Friday 15th November. Anastacia and Alex performed for us today......we enjoyed every minute. Stars in the making I would say!
