Summer 1

Baking in our mud kitchen

Class 2 bake off, “yes chef”

Today’s special.... Butterfly 🦋 cakes by class 1

As always it’s busy, busy, busy in FS. We have been building numberblocks with cubes. We looked at a famous painting called Sunflowers 🌻 by Vincent Van Gogh. We then painted our own Sunflower paintings.. We welcomed Mr Ellis into our hairdressers. He was treated to a new colour and cut. Sharing a story is a great way to build friendships.

Before we went into Whispers Woodland Mrs Clay read Bog Baby. A beautiful story that tells us to leave all wildlife in its own habitat. Down in the woods we had to search for 30 hidden Bog Babies. We found 29 😬. Before we had our woodland snack we played hide and seek. What a wonderful morning exploring the woods.

This week we have been learning all about The very hungry caterpillar 🐛. We have retold the story using props. We love our garden in the sunshine ☀️ lots of fun with our friends.

A beautiful Spring day. Pink cherry blossom 🌸 was collected from our beautiful tree. Mud paint was made and we all painted a tree and then stuck blossom on to make our own cherry blossom tree.

Just look at our amazing Tiny Seed art work.

We planted some mystery seeds. I wonder what they’ll grow to be 🤔

Welcome to Summer 1. We’ve had lots of fun exploring our garden
