Holly Hill Primary and Nursery School

Spring 2

23.02.26 - P.E - Gymnastics. We learnt about posture and different balances.

23.02.26 - Stone Age Immersion Day - pretending to be in our caves doing cave art! Look at our fabulous drawings using charcoal!

23.02.26 How did the people in Britain live during the Stone Age? Today we pretended to be Stone Age people! We made houses, we made spears to catch food, fires to cook our food and pretended to gather food from the woods. We saw amazing teamwork and everyone was super creative and imaginative! What a great start to our new topic!

Welcome back. We hope you have had a lovely holiday.

P.E will be on a Monday this term so please ensure kits are in school at the beginning of the week. We may also use them in the week so can be take home on a Friday.

The reading diary draw will be on a Tuesday so please ensure your child’s diary is filled in with any reading done at home and sent in on this day.

Times table tests will continue to be on a Wednesday. Please get your child to practise at home. This can be by chanting them, singing songs with times tables in, playing on Times Table Rockstar or any other games that they find useful.

Lastly, the spelling test will continue to be on Fridays.

Thank you for your continued support,

Miss Quarmby & Miss Morrison
