Our core text for the next few weeks is the beautiful Chinese story The Magic Paintbrush.
Friday 13th February- DRESS TO IMPRESS
A busy day in Puffin Class finishing our DT topic. The challenge is to make a bridge which is strong enough for a toy car to go over and underneath.
After designing the bridge the children started making them.
We had a fabulous Chinese Banquet this afternoon, every child had a go at using chopsticks and trying some new foods. We had noodles, stir fry, sweet and sour sauce, rice and prawn crackers! Thank you to Mrs Hutchinson and Mrs Cooper for cooking up our feast and thank you again as we used some of our Winter Warmer money to enable this to happen.

Monday 3rd February 2026 - Well done to our STAR WRITERS who wrote an innovated story independently.
Friday 30th January- A massive well done to these two girls who wrote an amazing innovated story based on our Magic Paintbrush story.

Monday 26th January 2026 : Gymnastics
Friday 24th January 2026 - Today had our 2nd DT lesson where we started looking at ways of joining materials.
Our PSHE programme is JIGSAW and this term the children are working on the theme DREAMS AND GOALS. Today everyone in the class shared something that they could do that they were proud of. Lots of lovely things were shared including success in sport, learning to do new things.
Monday 19th January 2026 - In PE today the children balanced, travelled and jumped off equipment.
Friday 16th January 2026 - In RE this term the children are learning about LEADERS in Christianity and Judaism. In our first lesson the children learned about some important symbols in Judaism and made a Star of David.
Well done to this weeks PUFFIN CLASS HEROES
Thursday 8th January- Drama ; Today in English the children acted out parts of the The Magic Paintbrush story.
Monday 12th January 2026 - A fabulous PE session with Mr Ellis. Our theme this term is Gymnastics.
Tuesday 6th January 2026 - The children have come back to school and got stuck into their learning straight away.
