Festival of Lights

This half term our topic is ‘Festival of Lights’.  In English we are reading ‘On a Beam of Light’ following the story of Albert Einstein. In English we will be writing a non- chronological report about Albert Einstein and then about another famous person. In Science our topic is Light, focussing on sources of light, sun safety and shadows. In RE we are learning about the Hindu festival of Diwali followed by our Christingle celebration at the end of the term. Please see our Knowledge Organiser for more information about our learning this half term. 
Some of the Year 4s will be spending a few days in Hathersage and then at the end of the term we are looking forward to our chaotic Holly Hill Christmas. ( Mrs B’s favourite time of the year ๐ŸŽ„๐ŸŽ„๐ŸŽ„๐ŸŽ„)
