MAD Museum Visit

The Year 5s had a fabulous time today at the MAD museum in Stratford-upon-Avon. They explored the working automata identifying the mechanisms creating the moving part of the models. They had great fun creating their own marble- run games too. They also had the chance to explore a bit of Stratford as they made their way to the Holly Trinity Church - the burial place of William Shakespeare. The rain stayed away, the sun came out and it was lovely having lunch by the river.

Monday 16th September. PE with Mr Ellis. Hockey skills this morning - aiming, sending and receiving the ball.

Thursday 12th September

Today we were lucky enough to take part in a ‘No Outsiders’ workshop talking about the issues around being different and inclusion. The children came up with some really thoughtful responses to questions. Sophie, Anastasia, Miller and Jaxon really impressed me with their ideas and discussion.

Wednesday 11th September. In Science our topic this half term is Light. The children have devised an investigation to prove that light travels in straight lines. Some amazing discussion and testing going on.

Monday 9th September

In Maths we are starting the term with lots of work on number and place value. Everyone has made a great start to their learning.
