Friday 10th February- The children all looked amazing today for our Dress to Express Day as part of our Child Mental Health week.

Wednesday 8th and Thursday 9th February- the children have worked really hard this week writing not one but two pieces of Wow Write based on our Internet Safety Week book Hanni and the Magic Window.
In Science the children learned that water is a material and some of its properties.
Wednesday 8th February - PE - Moving in different ways
Friday 3rd February 2023 - The children used a programme called Paintz to create a picture and using the keyboard toy PE their names.

Week beg : 30th January 2023 : In jigsaw this week the children were working with a partner to design a welly exactly the same as their partner.
Wednesday 1st February- Today we started learning to play the recorder. We all have a long way to go before we can play like the musician we listened to but it’s a start.
Wk beg 23rd January 2023 - This week our core book is How Computers Work
In Science the children continued work on materials and investigated why in the story of The 3 Little Pigs, the wolf could not blow down the house of bricks and designed their own house to keep the wolf out!
This week the children have been exploring 2D and 3D shapes.
This week the children have been learning about computers and in English have written a simple fact sheet.
The children have been using the touch pad on the laptop to click and drag to complete a puzzle.

Friday 20th January 2023 - We had a. We had a very busy afternoon, whilst some children continued our computing by using the touch pad on the computer to click and drag to complete a puzzle the rest of the children were busy making their OWN MAGNIFICENT THING.
Thursday 19th January - The children used a programme called Clicker to sequence sentences from our core book The Most Magnificent Thing in preparation for Wow Write tomorrow.
In Maths the children were finding different ways of making 8 as part of our Maths Mastery programme.
Wednesday 18th January - This week in English our focus is reading and writing instructions. Today the children made a jam sandwich, sequenced the steps and finally wrote the instructions.
We continued with our computing unit of work by learning how to switch on and log on before using a paint program to experiment.
Tuesday 17th January 2023 - We started our day with phonics.
Monday 16th January 2022 - In phonics the children learned a new spelling for the IGH sound reading words ending in Y
We had a learning break to Go Noodle - Boom Chicka Boom
Our PE unit this term is gymnastics and co-ordination
Friday 13th January 2023 - Well done to this weeks Hero, you are a Perfect Puffin!
Jigsaw - Today we started our new Jigsaw unit focusing on Goals and Dreams. One activity today was trying to pass a tambourine round the circle without it making a sound.
In Maths the children have been learning about numbers to 20.
This term we have a unit of Computing work. This week the children identified technology in our classroom and also learned the different parts of a computer.
Tuesday 10th January - Daily handwriting session this week focusing on the one armed robot letters - r,m,n,h,b,p.k
Monday 9th January 2023 - We started our week with our first Group Reading Session focusing on DECODING.
Wk beg : 4th January 2023. The children came back to school full of the fun they had had at Christmas and the first morning was spent writing about their holidays.
On Thursday and Friday the children completed the end product from the DT from last term which was designing and making a moving vehicle.
