"Holly Hill is a friendly and welcoming school of which pupils, parents, carers and staff are justifiably proud", OFSTED 2018. This is a 'good' school.HSearch
Friends of Holly Hill is a successful PTA that actively supports the school's vision to offer all children a wide range of experiences and opportunities.
We are always looking for new recruits. We understand that life is busy and that everyone has so many commitments so we aim to ensure that our fundraising is as simple but as effective as possible and that communication is mostly virtual. Time commitment from parents ranges from helping out at one off events to attending every meeting.
All help and all people are welcomed by our friendly team and we would love to hear from you if you feel that you could commit even the smallest amount of time.
We run a facebook page so follow us on the link below and look out for information on there too.

Fundraising update 2/6
We have had a phenomenal half term of fund raising up to Christmas, helped mainly by the Christmas shopping evening which was a massive success, as I’m sure those of you who came would agree, so thank you so much again for your generosity. We raised a total of £1570.11!
We have used this money for the pantomime goodie bags which every child who went on the day received, the Christmas treats at the KS1 Christmas parties, £20 per class in KS2 towards their Christmas parties and £402 for books, beanbags and shelving for all the KS1 children to enjoy.
There is much less activity this half term but we still need your help as we are working towards raising £2000 to pay for soft flooring which will compliment the new play area Mr Eadon has secured funding for.
Also look out for our new “Goodie Fridays” after school (details will be in the newsletter).
Thank you all once again for your continued support.
COMING UP THIS HALF TERM!
Remember we will be selling refreshments at all of the events for parents this half term including: Parents Evening, class assemblies and open afternoon. We will also be having Winter Wonderland discos for KS1 (4th December) and KS2 (11th December). Look out for further information coming soon.
Where your money goes?
The money raised by F.O.H.H is a valuable resource for school to use and we are aiming to communicate with you about what has been spent as often as possible. Here is a quick summary of what has been spent in school so far this academic year:
£100 per class to pay for 'Wows' to enhance topics and learning
£100 for resources for the new nurture group
£250 for the new Holly Hill 'play and stay' session (Friday morning, Infant Hall, everyone welcome!)
Amount to be decided for resources to enhance reading areas in KS1
All children will receive a gift from F.O.H.H of a drink, a chocolate bar and a packet of crisps to take with them to the pantomime.
LATEST FUNDRAISING NEWS!
We are extremely proud to announce that the Vintage tea, Assembly refreshments and KS1 Disney Dreams and KS2 Halloween Discos raised a grand total of £800.01! This is a fantastic amount of money to be added to school funds in just one half term and we hope to continue with this success. Huge thanks to all of you for supporting school so generously, our amazing team of parents who organise, Mrs. Parrwood for her gorgeous cakes and DJ John Olney who does such a brilliant job at the discos.
Wow! The Disney Dreams disco was a huge success!
The children looked amazing and had a wonderful time. We will let you know how much we raised as soon as we've counted it all up. Look on the 'latest news' section for the photos. Thank you for your continued support.

The first meeting of the year - 11th September 2014
We will try to keep you up to date with details from our meetings so you know what decisions we are making about the money you kindly donate to our fundraising.
1. We nominated members to the different roles of the fundraising team.
2. The treasurer reported back on the money that was made in the previous school year and which events raise the most money for school funds.
3. Discos - Disco themes and dates were agreed.
4. Parents' afternoon tea event - details of this were discussed and arranged.
5. Funding request - Mrs. Steed requested that each class is allocated £100 to enhance the children's learning and enable teachers to book exciting things but subsidise them before asking parents for money. This was agreed by F.O.H.H
