Welcome to Wren class page, on here you will get lots of updates from Miss Mee (Class Teacher). Within our classroom you will see Mrs Rawson and Mr Ellis (Monday mornings) and on occasions Mrs Cooper or Mrs Wilcockson.

Mrs Cottee is teaching Wren class Mon-Thurs whilst Miss Mee is on maternity leave, but you will see Miss Mee every Friday.

Please use the subheadings above to keep an eye on what we get up to in class, find out their spellings and any other relevant information will be added to each term as we work our way through the year.

Timetable: 

We will be doing P.E every Monday morning, so please ensure their P.E kit is in school. This can be stored in their lockers and sent home at the end of each half term. Please REMOVE all earrings for P.E sessions.

Please remember to send your child with their reading diary and book every day, as we will be doing a minimum of three reading sessions a week alongside our daily phonics. I will check their diaries every Friday. Reading days will be every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

Please record every read your child does, whether it's their reading book, a magazine, road signs etc. as we will be counting up their reads each term and the more reads the better treat they could receive. Mrs Watson has more details about this if you want to know more.  

Spellings and Spelling Tests

Year 2s will start their spellings weekly, with them being sent home for the half term. We will do our spellings tests every Friday and results will be written in their dairy.

Communication 

Please feel free to use their dairies to communicate any messages, but for anything more urgent then you can contact myself through the school office, or I will be around in the mornings and afterschool.
