Spring 2

Welcome back after half term. This half term, our topic is called 'Around the World' We are going to be learning about Egyptians and Volcanoes and Earthquakes.

Our P.E day will be on Tuesday with Mr Ellis, but we ask that P.E kit is kept in school just in case it is needed.

Spellings will be tested on a Friday, but the children practise them in class each week as part of our spelling and grammar.

Planning a news report: Kingfisher have been busy planning a report about Mount Vesuvius ��

Gymnastics Finale �� Kingfisher Class have been working on different balances and jumps. They put it all together to make a sequence.

Week Beginning: 24th March 2025

Fractions - We have been looking for equivalent fractions using a fraction of wall to help us.

R.E - We made Hindu Mandaps (a shelter during a wedding that keeps out bad and keeps in good) They were traditional decorated with leaves ��

P.E: Kingfisher have been working on their balances in gymnastics. ��

R.E - We have been learning about the journeys of different faiths. This week we have been looking at Christian prayers and matching them to a category, using great team work.

British Science Week: Kingfisher enjoyed looking at the different rocks and sorting them into Metamorphic, Sedimentary and Igneous �� rocks.

'Tuesday' was our story of choice for WBD25. It has no words and we made the story ourselves. Kingfisher created some wonderful illustrations and writing to go with the story. ��
