Welcome to our Puffin Class page, please check regularly to see what we are doing.
This term PE is on Monday please make sure your child has a PE kit and ear rings must be removed.
Please send your child with their reading book and diary every day. To prevent damage we would like to ask that their reading book is always put into the plastic wallet we have provided.

Friday 17th October - Fabulous Pumpkins
Thursday 16th October - Mondrian inspired ART part 2
Science - Finding signs of Autumn
Wednesday 15th October - In Maths the children used part whole models to write addition number facts.
Tuesday 14th October 2025 - OUR TRIP TO SHERWOOD FOREST. All the children were a pleasure to take and were incredibly well behaved and enthusiastic.

Monday 13th October - In Maths the children are learning addition using the Whole, Part model.
Friday 10th October - This morning the children were practicing writing tricky words.
This weeks MATHS
In RE the children learned the story of how Jesus calmed the Sea of Galilee and produced some art work.
This afternoon Mrs Cottee heard some of the class read 1-1 and was incredibly impressed with everyone.
Wednesday 8th October - Ash came to show us some Freestyle Football Skills in Assembly

Friday 3rd October - This week in SCIENCE the children have been recording the temperature and rainfall.
This week the children have been writing simple sentences about Robin Hood.
Thursday 2nd October - In Art the children produced collages inspired by the artist Mondrian.
Monday 29th September - Maths : Learning about greater than, fewer than and equal to.
Friday 26th September: Computing and COOL TIME ( Choose Our Own Learning) in Computing the children were logging on for the first time and writing their names using Word.
The Linkables proved. Popular choose and we had some fantastic creations which the children insisted on being photographed with.
Thursday 25th September - English : Writing the story of Little Red Riding Hood in short bursts.
Wednesday 23rd September- In Science the children are learning about Seasonal Change. Today they were learning how to use thermometers to read temperature.
Friday 19th September - The children have worked so hard all week so they have got some COOL TIME - Choose Our Own Learning
Thursday 18th September - Writing and drawing pictures of The Little Red Riding Hood story.
Friday 12th September - Science : Looking for signs of Summer
Wednesday 10th September - Drama session in English acting out scenes from our core text Little Red Riding Hood.
Tuesday 9th September - Phonics and Maths

Thursday 4th September 2025 - Our 2nd day in Puffin Class and everyone is settling so well. Today the children have had a busy day - Phonics, sorting in Maths, handwriting and of course some COOL TIME - Choose Our Own Learning.
