W/B: 08.02.21 - R.E: My Journey, Part 2.
Last week, you gathered some ideas together about your beliefs, values, traditions and things that are special to you.
This week, you are going to map them on your own personal journey. I have put an example up but you can present it however you like. Use your ideas from the last session to help you.
It should be detailed and labelled and by the end of the session, it should be a piece of work (poster, powerpoint, booklet) that is personal and unique to you.
Session 5: w/ b: 1st February
In this week's science, you will be looking at some food chains and discussing what would happen if part of the chain were missing.
Then you are going to create your own food chain.
Watch the vidoes in this section to help you create your food chain.
Session 5 - w/b 1st February
R.E: In this week's R.E you will be thinking about your own journey in life. This is your own beliefs, values and traditions. They are what make you special.
In the second acrtivity, you will see a backpack. This is to pack the things you think you need on your life's journey for example:
I like giving money to a certain charity, so I will pack some coins.
My mum is a special person, so I will pack some flowers to give her.
I believe in God, so I will pack a Bible.
I believe in Humanism, so I will pack a helping hand so I remember to always help people along the way.
We have hot chocolate in our Christmas Eve boxes, so I will back a mug, a sachet of hot chooclate and some marshmallows.
The idea is that the back-pack is packed with things that is personal to you.
Session 4: w/b: 25th January
The Journey of a Christian
Session 3: w/b: 18th January
The Journey of Hindu
Choose one of the duties and write about it, including why it might be important to a Hindu.
Write a paragraph about the Hindu duties and include some pictures to show these.
What do you think about these duties? Do you think other's could do these to?
Now watch the video about reincarnation and look at the different scenarios. Play the game, choosing which action you would make.
The journey of a Muslim
Can you match the pictures to the descriptions?
Think about how you have welcomed a baby into your family or a friend's baby:
Have you seen a baby shower or has your family been to one?
Have you seen parents reveal if they're going to have a boy or girl?
Have you been to a Christening?
Have you been to a naming ceremony?
