Mrs. Steed

Here you will find all of the fabulous things I see as I walk around Holly Hill every day. It’s such a lovely place to be - I want you to all see what I see!

Wonderful Woodies Writing!

I was invited into Woodpeckers’ class today to read their amazing work. Freya explained to me all about the story “The Tin Forest” and the rest of the class told me the success criteria they had included. They were especially proud of being able to ‘magpie’ ideas from the author. They told me that the book is so good that I took it home to read for my little boy’s bedtime story. Good news Woodpeckers - he loved it just as much as I did! Keep up the amazing work Year 2!

Super sewing skills in Owl

As part of their Art lessons with Mrs. K, Owl class have been designing and creating these fabulous sewing pieces. Mrs. K’s crazy dance helped them to remember how to do a running stitch “down one, miss one, across one” - she wouldn’t let me video the moves to go with it!

When you look out of your office window and these lovely little faces are looking back at you! Hi Nursery! I hope you found the nests you were looking for x

Dear Santa...

Wow F2! I loved reading your Christmas lists this week. You are all trying so hard to use everything you’re learning in phonics in your writing! I hope you are all on the nice list! X

It’s not every day that this happens...

Today we were visited by Holly and Prancer - Santa’s reindeers! They came with two of the elves who told us all about Reindeers and even let us stroke them! What a fabulous Christmas treat!

It’s Pantotime!

Holly Hill whole school party day - nowhere does a party like a Holly Hill party!

Wow Heidi! Your Christmas writing is fantastic!

These gorgeous little faces were so excited to come and see me this week with their wonderful writing. Headteacher wristbands all round!

Wow! All of these photos were taken in 10 minutes on the KS2 playground!

Wow! Today the European Cup has been in assembly - with Nottingham Forest and Robin the Notts Forest mascot! Remember to always “Dream Big”

What a super star Lola! Lola has loved learning about Pandas so much that she has written her own book about them at home - it even had a contents page!

Thank you to all of the grown ups who came to our writing morning today. Look at all of this wonderful writing that was happening around school...
