Holly Hill Primary and Nursery School

Cygnets, Nursery, 2021/22

We have Miss Morrison who takes us to Whisper's Woodland every Friday. You will see Mrs Beagley in Nursery every day. Mrs Tompkins is with us Monday to Thursday and we have Mrs Clay with us every day!

Don't forget to log on to Reading Eggs and use FAST PHONICS which are online interactive games to support phonics and reading.

There is also an exciting online maths programme too called Mathseeds to build your child's maths skills at home in a fun and safe way.

These programmes can be used on a desktop or tablet device. All children have their own personal login details, if you need these again then please let us know :)

A message from a pirate lead us to a map ( follow the arrows) that was hidden in Whispers Woodland. X marked the spot. So it was all hands on deck and ahoy me hearties we found 3 chests full of sweet treats. Aaarrgh.

“It’s a pirates life for me”

Curriculum Organiser - Handa's Surprise (W/C 18/4/22 & 25/4/22)

We felt and described the texture of different fruits found in the story of Handa’s Surprise. We used words such as; soft, smooth, rough, bumpy and shiny. We then tasted banana, orange, mango, avocado, pineapple and passion fruit to find out which one was our favourite.

We are so lucky to have so many beautiful trees in the school grounds. Just look at our beautiful blossom work.

We have been using props to remember and retell the story of Handa’s Surprise

Visit from White Post Farm - we handled lots of different small animals today and learnt all about them

We are always so busy. Working and playing with our friends and teachers.

What fantastic singers we are! Listen to us sing ‘Hot Cross Buns.’
